REFLECTION
Reflection explores the relationship between our inner lives and the world around us. The collection uses photography, drawing and AI-assisted digital techniques to reconstruct these experiences.
Through reflection, repetition and symmetry, the work explores perception, identity and the influence of others on our understanding of ourselves.
REFLECTION 1
Digital Art | Drawing & AI-Assisted Imagery
Reflection 1 originates from a dream in which an image appeared accompanied by the words:
“What your life contains is a reflection of those around you.”
The image has been reconstructed through drawings and AI-assisted digital techniques, with the intention of reproducing the original dream as faithfully as possible. Five gold mirrored wardrobes stand together in an otherwise empty gallery-like space. Their reflective surfaces suggest the relationship between the individual and those around them, exploring how our experiences, relationships and surroundings shape the content of our lives.
